Osaka Fisherman Face in Lighthouse Beam

Sun-bleached plaster forms a rough backdrop behind a deep-sea fisherman whose face bears deep creases from years of exposure. Late spring darkness wraps the scene, while low-hanging clouds obscure the sky above. A sweeping beam of lighthouse light cuts horizontally across his features, illuminating the texture of his skin and the sharp angle of his gaze. Shadows pool in the hollows of his cheeks and neck, against the stark brightness of the plaster wall beside him. Foreground bokeh softens indistinct shapes at the edge of the frame, leaving the focus entirely on the weathered details of his eyes and the sudden, narrow band of illumination falling across his jawline.
