Orange Sunset Over Iraqi Foothills Tidal Flat

Low-angle orange light floods a vast, wet tidal flat, turning the shallow water into a mirror that holds the entire gradient of the autumn sky. Above, layered foothills in Iraq rise in soft, hazy bands, their contours blurred by a thin, persistent fog that settles just above the ground. The colors shift from deep amber near the horizon to pale violet higher up, reflected perfectly in the still, dark surface below. Dry, golden grasses fringe the water's edge, standing stiff against the mist. The composition remains stark and open, showing the horizontal lines where the earth meets the sky. A faint ripple near the bottom left breaks the reflection, revealing the dark, saturated mud beneath the thin layer of water.
