Neon Lit Moroccan Tagine Steam at Night

A ceramic tagine pot rests on a speckled white plate, positioned directly against a dark window pane. Thick, white steam curls upward from the conical lid, catching the harsh glow of a distant neon sign visible through the glass. The light shifts from cool electric blue to magenta across the curved ceramic surface and the rising vapor. Inside the room, deep shadows pool in the corners, against the bright reflections on the wet table surface. Early autumn darkness presses hard against the glass, isolating the warm meal in a pocket of artificial light. The steam blurs slightly at the edges, softening the sharp geometric lines of the window frame behind the dish.
