Nebuta Festival Floats Silhouette in Tainan Square Rain

Giant illuminated floats rise as dark silhouettes against the glowing sky of Tainan's public square. Early evening rain falls in a fine, continuous sheet, turning the wet pavement into a glossy mirror that reflects the warm amber light from within the paper structures. Spectators huddle under translucent umbrellas, their shapes blurred by the drizzle. An ornate wooden archway frames the view, creating a layered composition where the festival floats appear suspended behind the arch's dark beams. The wet surfaces of the floats glisten, showing the intricate cutouts of warriors and dragons. Droplets rest on the fabric edges, while the light from inside the floats pushes outward, creating a soft, diffused glow that defines the shapes against the grey, rainy backdrop.
