Copper-toned light washes over a misty floodplain in São Paulo state, where a musician stands with a morin khuur. The player bows the instrument while the humid air hangs low, softening the distant grasses. Thick mist rests on the wet earth, reflecting the fading sun. The instrument’s carved horse head stands out against the muted greens and browns of the early summer landscape. The player wears dark clothing that absorbs the ambient glow. Shadows stretch long across the waterlogged ground. One droplet slides down the wooden neck of the fiddle, catching the last copper light before the sky darkens completely.
