Brass gleams under warm footlights as a mariachi musician stands in a village gathering space in Puebla. Rain-soaked cobblestones reflect the glow of the trumpet and the musician's embroidered charro suit. Low-hanging gray clouds press against the sky, heavy with the season's moisture. Above, a balcony with wrought iron railings overlooks the performance, framing the scene. Distant city lights begin to flicker on, casting a soft amber haze against the deepening blue of the evening. The musician's posture is upright and focused, the instrument angled toward the open square. Water droplets rest on the metal surface of the trumpet, catching the light in sharp, bright points. One drop slides down the bell of the horn.
