Moonlit Waterfall Yunnan Midnight Starlight

Cold starlight stretches across a midnight sky above a Yunnan gorge where a waterfall plunges into a dark pool. A sharp beam of lighthouse-sweep illumination cuts through the blackness, striking the falling water and turning the spray into bright white ribbons against the shadowed rock. Bare branches and patches of frost rest on the wet stones at the water's edge, marking the early winter season. The air hangs clear and still after rain, allowing distant stars to shine with unblinking intensity above the canyon. Wet surfaces glisten with a slick sheen under the narrow band of light, while the surrounding cliffs fade into deep shadow.
