Moire Wave Interference on Lunar Lake

Hard, airless sunlight strikes a dark, still body of water under a pitch-black sky, creating a stark contrast impossible on Earth. The lake surface ripples with concentric interference patterns that form a shimmering moire effect, glowing with pale blue and white geometric bands. The water remains perfectly flat except for these rhythmic waves, reflecting the harsh, unfiltered light without any atmospheric diffusion. Surrounding the dark pool, the ground is a textured gray regolith scattered with small, sharp rocks and deep shadows. The lack of air leaves the scene devoid of haze, making every edge of the ripple pattern and every rock grain intensely legible against the void. One dark boulder rests at the water's edge, casting a hard, straight shadow across the gray dust.
