Pale blue ice stretches across the frame, fractured by a network of sharp, dark geometric cracks that divide the surface into irregular polygons. Above, the flat glare of the midnight sun reflects off the water within the fissures, creating bright, metallic highlights against the matte white frost. Thick mist hovers low over the frozen expanse, softening the edges where the lake meets the layered foothills in the distance. The ridge above provides a high vantage point, looking down at the vast, calm sheet of ice. One dark shadow falls across the lower right corner, marking the depth of a deep fracture line cutting through the frozen surface.
