Military Shower Rack Under Afghan Net Shelter

Cold moonlight falls through the rough weave of a camouflage net shelter, casting pale blue shadows across a metal rack holding primer bottles. The bottles stand in rigid rows, their labels faintly visible against the dim light. Dust motes settle on the green fabric overhead, undisturbed by the stillness of the late autumn night. The ground beneath is packed dirt, scattered with small stones and faint tire tracks from earlier movement. One bottle reflects the moonlight, its surface cool and unblemished. The rack stands alone, separated from other equipment, waiting for the next shift of motor-pool and flightline workers to begin their rounds.
