Midnight Scaffolding in Tanzanian Rain in beside exposed structural steel in Tanzania

Midnight Scaffolding in Tanzanian Rain

by Lauren Wooten

Interlocking steel tubes form a rigid grid against a dark building facade under a starless night sky. Faint ground glow illuminates the wet metal surfaces, revealing a sheen from the continuous light drizzle. Exposed structural steel beams stand parallel to the scaffolding, their rough textures against the smooth, rain-slicked poles. Water beads and runs down the vertical bars, catching the dim ambient light. The heavy, mechanical structure dominates the left third of the view, while the dark, rain-soaked wall occupies the right. Droplets slide off the lower joints, merging into small puddles on the uneven ground below. One rivet on a horizontal bar reflects the faint silver light.
