A weathered wooden ladder-back chair sits on the wet stone ledge of a traditional Fez balcony, enduring the light rain at dusk. Raindrops bead on the dark wood grain and run down the vertical spindles, highlighting the texture against the dimming sky. Below, the blurred outlines of terracotta rooftops and distant minarets fade into the grey twilight of the medina. One drop of water rests on the bottom rail, ready to fall into the shadows below.
