Kalimba Resting in Velvet Case Under Warm Light

Soft golden light falls through sheer curtains, illuminating a wooden kalimba nestled inside an open instrument case lined with deep burgundy velvet. The metal tines gleam faintly while fine particles of rosin dust drift through the shafts of midday sun, catching the warmth of the overhead rehearsal lamps. The case rests on a smooth writing desk in a quiet room in Aydın, where the edges of the velvet show subtle wear from frequent use. Dust motes hang suspended in the air, creating a hazy texture against the dark interior lining. The wood grain of the instrument contrasts with the plush fabric, while shadows stretch gently across the desk surface. One fleck of white rosin dust settles on the corner of the velvet lining.
