Irish Step Dancer Feet Noon Pub Floor

Flat noon light floods the worn wooden floorboards of a pub near Jos, throwing sharp, unyielding shadows beneath a pair of feet caught in rapid motion. The dancer's black shoes blur slightly at the toes against the grain of the aged timber. Low-hanging gray clouds outside filter the high-altitude air, creating crisp, cool illumination that highlights the scuffs and scratches on the soles. The low angle frames the raised leg and the tension in the ankle, while the surrounding space stretches vast and open under the expansive ceiling. A thin line of dust settles in the groove between two planks near the heel. The floorboards stretch away, leading toward the dark corner of the room.
