North-window sidelight slices across a worn wooden workbench, highlighting the grain and dust motes suspended in the dry air. A heavy leather pouch rail rests horizontally, its straps showing signs of daily friction and use. The leather holds a sturdy insulation knife, the handle worn smooth by grip. Deep shadows pool in the corners of the frame where a dim lamplight begins to settle, against the cool daylight. Fine sawdust coats the bench surface near the leather edges. A faint scratch marks the wood right beside the pouch strap.
