Helicopter Approaches Offshore Platform in Predawn Light

Predawn darkness envelops the water as a helicopter cuts through the mist, its landing lights sweeping across the wet surface. Sea spray hangs suspended in the air, catching the stark beams of the lighthouse that illuminate the metallic structure of the offshore platform. The rigid steel walkways create converging lines that draw toward the vanishing point where the aircraft descends. Cold blue shadows dominate the scene, broken only by the warm, focused glow of the navigation lights reflecting off the oily water. The dry season air is still, allowing the spray to remain visible against the dark horizon. The helicopter's skids hover just above the deck, casting sharp, geometric shadows on the grating beneath. One beam of light strikes the wet railing, highlighting the texture of rust and salt.
