Hands at Dawn Light

A pair of rough hands rests on a wooden crate filled with fresh figs, situated on a damp stone ledge in Palermo. The misty dawn light diffuses softly through the morning air, highlighting the deep purple skins of the fruit against the gray concrete. Dark water stains seep into the porous surface of the ledge, creating a textured contrast with the smooth, waxy skin of the nearby lemons. One drop of condensation rests on the edge of a ceramic bowl, reflecting the pale, cool light of the early hour.
