Wood Spoon in Milan

A weathered olive wood spoon rests on a rough stone windowsill, its handle pointing toward the gray morning light. Mist rests on the glass pane behind it, blurring the view of a narrow Milanese courtyard below. Fine flour dust coats the dark surface of the stone, catching the soft, diffused dawn light. The grain of the spoon is deep and textured, against the smooth, cold stone beneath it.
