Golden Ferry Crossing Foggy Harbor at Sunset

Rich amber light spills across the deck of a crowded river ferry as it navigates the mist-choked waters near the Settat harbor mouth. Late autumn leaves skitter across the wet, gray metal floorboards, caught in sudden gusts that ripple the fog clinging to the river surface. Passengers stand shoulder to shoulder along the railings, their silhouettes sharp against the glowing horizon. Converging lines of the boat's structure draw toward the vanishing point where the fog thickens. The water churns softly around the hull, reflecting the warm sunset hues. One green leaf rests on the rusted edge of a metal railing near a passenger's shoe.
