Ferry Crossing Winter Strait at Dawn

Cold silver dawn light washes over a narrow strait where a ferry cuts through still water. Ground fog pools in the low valleys along the switchback approach near Dijon, clinging to the dormant winter landscape. Bare trees line the distant banks, their dark branches stark against the pale sky. The ferry's white hull contrasts sharply with the deep gray water, leaving a frothy wake that spreads outward. Mist hovers just above the surface, softening the edges of the distant shore. The road curves sharply along the hillside, disappearing into the thick haze. Shadows stretch long and thin across the frozen ground, showing the quiet stillness of the early morning. A faint reflection of the ferry glimmers on the water's surface.
