Glass Wall and Pool in Indonesian Rainy Season in beside a canal-front facade in Indonesia

Glass Wall and Pool in Indonesian Rainy Season

by Jorge LeBlanc

Flat gray clouds press low over a modern glass curtain wall that rises vertically beside a still reflecting pool. Hard coastal glare strikes the facade, turning the glass into a sharp mirror of the sky and nearby canal-front structures. The water in the pool holds the reflection of the building with absolute clarity, creating a seamless transition between the solid wall and its liquid duplicate. Rain-slicked surfaces glisten under the intense light, while the wet pavement at the base reflects the vertical lines of the architecture. One dark shadow falls across the lower corner where the wall meets the water's edge, at the base of the composition in the humid, rainy season atmosphere of Indonesia.
