Gladiolus Spike in Assam Garden Sunset

Pale orange and soft violet petals of a single gladiolus spike rise vertically against a backdrop of blurred terraced earth. The last light of day casts a warm, golden glow across the flower's smooth surfaces, highlighting the subtle gradient from deep crimson at the base to fading yellow at the tips. Heat haze shimmers above the dark soil, distorting the lines of the garden beds behind the bloom. The terraces curve gently into the distance, showing rows of dormant or early-blooming plants under the turning season. A faint shadow stretches across the lower leaves, at the base of the tall stem in the rich, brown earth. The final petal edge catches the dying sun, glowing with a translucent amber light.
