Funicular Climbing Autumn Vines Near Coro

Hard coastal glare cuts through a light drizzle, turning the wet funicular tracks into a gleaming silver ribbon that snakes up the steep hillside. Autumn vines drape the embankment in patches of russet and ochre, their leaves heavy with recent rain. The metal car ascends the switchback approach near Coro, its polished surface mirroring the gray sky and the clinging foliage. Water beads on the railings and drips from the roof edges, catching the afternoon light in sharp, scattered points. The mirrored composition reflects the track below, doubling the visual depth of the ascent. Droplets slide down the glass windows, distorting the view of the vine-covered slope behind them. One streak of water runs across the lower corner of the glass, marking the edge of the frame.
