Frog on Lily Pads at Sunset Ridge
Horizon light wraps the wind-scoured ridge near Phnom Penh as a cluster of green lily pads floats on the water's surface. A small frog rests atop the broadest leaf, its skin textured with mottled browns and greens that match the surrounding vegetation. Sea spray hangs in the air, catching the low sun and creating a hazy veil between the foreground and the distant water line. The composition uses a broken branch in the immediate foreground to frame the amphibian, adding depth to the view. The frog remains perfectly still, its eyes wide and alert, capturing a moment of untamed tension before it might leap. at the edge is the sharp reflection of the frog's hind leg on the dark, rippling water below.
