Foundry Worker Pouring Molten Bronze in Alicante Market Lane
Soft afternoon light falls through a clearing sky, reflecting off wet cobblestones in an Alicante market lane. From an over-the-shoulder perspective, a worker in a dark protective apron holds a crucible, tilting it to release a stream of glowing molten bronze. The liquid metal flows into a sand mold set on a low stone counter, its intense orange glow against the cool grey of the damp pavement. Raindrops rest on the rough texture of the worker's sleeve and glisten on the nearby clay pots displayed in the background. The steam rises gently from the hot metal, blurring the sharp edges of the ancient stone arches overhead. A final bead of bronze rests on the rim of the sand mold, catching the last of the daylight.
