Folded Blanket and Handkerchief in Mongu Predawn

Pale neon light washes the painted display ledge, casting a cool, electric glow over a neatly folded blanket and a white handkerchief resting on top. Condensation beads along the edge of a nearby glass surface, glistening in the dim predawn darkness. The fabric of the blanket shows thick stitching and subtle lint trapped in the weave, evidence of daily use in the wet season. Shadows pool deep in the folds, while the handkerchief's hem catches the reflected blue light. A small frayed thread hangs loose near the corner, against the smooth, wet curve of the glass beside it.
