Foaling Monitor Shelf at French Stockyard Ramp

Hard midday sunlight bleaches the weathered wood of a wooden shelf mounted on a rusted metal frame beside a concrete loading ramp. The shelf holds a small stack of white paper logs, a pair of blue nitrile gloves, and a clear plastic bottle of disinfectant with a red cap. A faded blue sign with white text hangs crookedly above the supplies. The dry, dusty ground below is cracked and pale, scattered with stray straw and small stones. Shadows fall sharply beneath the shelf, defining the rough grain of the timber and the peeling paint on the metal supports. The bright sky above offers no clouds, only a harsh, flat glare that highlights the dust motes settling on the disinfectant bottle. A faint shadow of a fence post stretches across the concrete base.
