Flowering Entryway in Mexico City

A narrow doorway in a historic Colonia Roma home glows with the cool blue of twilight, contrasting sharply with the warm, saturated reds of terracotta pots stacked on the entryway ledge. Bright pink geraniums spill over the edges, their petals catching the last ambient light while deep shadows pool in the recessed entry. A faded, hand-painted wooden sign hangs crookedly above, its paint chipped to reveal older layers beneath. The street outside is empty, save for the wet sheen of recent rain reflecting the distant sodium vapor glow on the cobblestones.
