Sharp beams of warm tungsten light pierce the darkness, cutting through the intricate geometric patterns of a carved stone jali screen. Fine dust particles float visibly within these glowing shafts, suspended against the deep shadows of the interior space. The stone surface of the ledge in the foreground appears cool and rough, catching the soft glow where the light strikes it. The precision of the carved lattice creates a rhythmic play of bright highlights and absolute blackness. Heavy moisture from the wet season outside seems to press against the walls, though the interior remains still and enclosed. One grain of dust settles slowly on the textured edge of the stone, marking the quiet passage of time in the midnight hour.
