Door Hardware in Venice at The Early Evening Light

A narrow Venetian alleyway glows under the fading light of early evening, where damp stone walls rise steeply on either side. Thick green ivy vines climb the textured masonry, their leaves catching the last ambient light. A heavy wooden door set into the stone features a rusted iron hinge and a simple iron deadbolt, worn by years of use. The ground is paved with uneven cobblestones that reflect the dimming sky. A small, weathered doormat lies at the threshold, slightly askew.
