The scene is anchored by the presence of a large Presa Canario lying motionless on the cool tiles, its muscular form against the delicate glass vase on a nearby table. The bright late morning light casts sharp, geometric shadows across the zellige tilework, highlighting the texture of the rough stone walls and the smooth, cool surface of the metal latch on a distant door.
