Colorful Plates in Marrakech

Misty dawn light diffuses through the high arched windows of a riad courtyard in Marrakech, casting a soft, cool blue tone over the zellige tile floor. In the center, a low wooden table holds a stack of vibrant majolica plates, their cobalt and turquoise patterns glowing against the damp stone. Beside them, a worn brown dog sleeps curled on a faded rug, its fur slightly matted from the morning chill. Condensation beads on a glass of mint tea nearby, catching the faint light. The air is still, and the only movement comes from the gentle steam rising from the tea, blending with the mist that rests on the courtyard walls.
