Stadium floodlights pierce the deepest night sky, casting harsh white beams onto a winding mountain pass near Thimphu. A cyclist leans into a sharp descent, their body a taut line of disciplined concentration against the dark backdrop. Colorful prayer flags flutter above, their saturated reds and blues illuminated by the artificial glare. Turf spray and kicked-up grit hang suspended in the air, catching the light as a fine, chaotic mist. The diagonal road cuts through the frame, creating tension between the rider and the steep drop. Behind the cyclist, the rugged terrain fades into shadow, while the wet asphalt reflects the bright overhead lamps. One splash of mud flies off the rear tire, landing on the dark guardrail.
