Cyclist Sprinting Summit Finish Before Dawn

Cold moonlight floods the rocky summit where a cyclist leans forward in a desperate sprint. The rider pushes hard out of the saddle, muscles taut against the thin air of the early summer morning. Behind the athlete, a traditional stone cairn marks the peak above the tree line near Kathmandu. Fine summer dust swirls in the wake of the rear tire, catching the pale blue light. The gravel path stretches ahead, uneven and stony, leading toward the dark horizon. The rider's jersey rests on the back, stained with effort. One stone in the cairn catches a faint glint, anchoring the scene against the vast, shadowed sky.
