Heavy silk fabric drapes across scuffed wooden planks, pooling in deep, liquid folds near the base of a wall. Bulbs ring a large mirror, casting a cool, clinical glow that reflects off the glossy train. The floorboards show years of wear, their grain exposed where varnish has faded. Soft shadows stretch into the corners, mixing with the harsh backlight from the runway spill. The negative space around the dress emphasizes its texture and weight. One fringe of gold thread catches the light against the dark, scratched wood.
