Coal Barge Under Bridge Dusk Caucasus Rim Light
Deep violet clouds press low over a dark river in the Caucasus mountains. A massive coal barge rests beneath the steel trusses of a railroad bridge. Only a thin, sharp line of pale orange light traces the upper edges of the coal piles and the underside of the bridge girders. The rest of the vessel and the water below sink into profound shadow, rendering the coal as a textured, matte black mass. Bare, skeletal trees line the distant riverbank against the gloom. The steel girders cut a rigid geometric pattern across the turbulent sky. A faint reflection of the orange rim light shimmers on the rippled water surface near the barge's hull.
