Civic Flyers on Library Board Night in Mar del Plata

Cool yellow light from distant street lamps spills across a weathered wooden notice board mounted on a rough brick wall. The board holds layers of civic flyers in faded blues, reds, and whites, their paper edges curling slightly in the humid air. Low-hanging clouds obscure the sky, diffusing the light into a soft glow that highlights the damp texture of the brickwork. Handwritten notes and printed Spanish text appear on the posters. A metal crosswalk railing runs parallel to the wall, its painted white stripes worn and chipped. The board sits at the threshold of a school gate in early summer. A small tear in the top corner of a blue poster reveals the rough fiber of the paper beneath.
