Choir Stall Misericords Neon Theater Turin

Wooden choir stall misericords carved with mythical beasts rest on a theater stage in Turin under late spring night. Neon tubes cast electric blue and magenta reflections across the dark grain of the carved stone and wood. Thick black cables snake across the floor, while heavy velvet curtains drape in the background. A thin layer of stage haze softens the depth behind the stall. The carvings show deep shadows in the recesses of the beast scales and claws. Light glints off the polished edges of the stone misericord supports. The scene reveals the texture of worn wood against the smooth synthetic glow of the stage lights. One cable loop rests near the base of the carved leg.
