Chalk drawings multiply in indigo Miskolc evening
Indigo twilight washes the cobblestones of Miskolc's old quarter as children kneel to draw with bright chalk. From an over-the-shoulder view, colorful geometric shapes emerge on the gray pavement, their edges soft against the damp stone. Behind the small figures, the background transforms into a rigid grid of hundreds of identical chalk drawings, repeating the same simple shapes endlessly into the distance. The heavy overcast sky diffuses the light, creating a uniform glow that eliminates harsh shadows while highlighting the texture of the worn bricks. The children wear light summer clothing, their hands moving with focus. The impossible repetition of the drawings creates a visual rhythm that stretches from the immediate foreground to the vanishing point, contrasting the organic movement of the kids with the static, infinite pattern behind them. One piece of blue chalk rests on the edge of a drawing.
