Dim window light falls through high openings into the stone nave of a monastery carved directly into a cliff face. Rows of flickering candles cast soft, dancing reflections across polished wooden pews and smooth stone walls. The early evening glow highlights the rough texture of the rock exterior visible through archways, against the warm amber interior lamps. Leading lines formed by the central aisle draw toward the altar at the far end, where shadows deepen in the corners. Dust motes hang suspended in the shafts of light, and the solemn gravity of the space is anchored by the heavy, carved wooden doors standing slightly ajar at the entrance.
