Reflected sunlight glints off the wet surface of a construction deck in Massarah, illuminating a yellow bulldozer as it drives forward. The machine's blade bites into a mound of damp, dark earth, pushing it across the leveled ground. Fine clouds of concrete dust and scattered sawdust drift through the air, catching the bright afternoon light. The dry season leaves the surrounding soil cracked and dusty, against the moisture kicked up by the tracks. Heavy metal treads churn the mixture of mud and debris, creating a textured trail of displaced material. The operator's cabin sits high above the churning ground, framed against the shimmering water reflection that defines the bright, gritty atmosphere.
