Broiler Flush Key on Barbados Stockyard Ramp

Honeyed evening light silhouettes a heavy steel broiler water-line flush key resting against damp concrete at a Barbados stockyard loading ramp. The metal surface reflects the fading sun while dark wash marks streak across the gray floor, tracing paths where water recently surged. Piles of damp straw drift along the concrete edges, matted and heavy with moisture from a brief sun shower. The wet ground glistens under the low angle of the sun, highlighting the texture of the rough concrete and the industrial shape of the key. Straw fibers clump together, creating a rough contrast against the smooth, water-slicked metal and the darkened pavement. A final shadow stretches long across the wet surface, ending at the edge of a scattered straw pile.
