The harbor mouth in Honduras stretches out, where the dry season keeps the air clear of rain but heavy with mist near the water's surface. Weathered metal surfaces show the texture of salt and time, against the smooth, reflective curves of the bell. Low-lying fog rests on the wooden docks and concrete pilings, creating a layered depth that obscures the distant horizon. The raw grit of the maritime environment is visible in the chipped paint of the railing and the rust-streaked bolts securing the bell. A faint reflection of the gray sky shimmers on the wet, dark wood of the pier edge.
