Berber Kasbah Fortress Model on Desk

A miniature Berber kasbah fortress rests on a smooth writing desk surface near Gujranwala. The structure features thick, earthen walls with textured, sand-colored surfaces and small, irregular windows. Soft, diffused light from an overcast sky falls across the model, casting gentle shadows that define the depth of the battlements. Warm interior shadows pool within the recessed courtyards and narrow alleyways. Early spring is suggested by the bright, even quality of the light and the cool tone of the surrounding air. Negative space surrounds the fortress, isolating it against the plain desk. A small, sharp shadow falls along the base of the outer wall where it meets the wood grain.
