Batik Artist Working Midnight Lantern Shrine

Cool air hangs in the midnight air of a Jakarta shrine lined with glowing red lanterns. A batik artist stands beneath stark fluorescent light, their hands steady as they apply molten wax with a tjanting tool onto pale fabric. The scene is framed by a dark wooden doorway, creating a natural border around the focused activity. Behind the figure, rows of paper lanterns cast a soft, warm glow that contrasts with the harsh overhead illumination.
