Abandoned Classroom Under Amber Winter Sunset

Rich amber light from the setting sun floods the interior of a quiet classroom near São Paulo, illuminating dust particles suspended in the air. Rows of wooden desks stand frozen in place, their surfaces coated in a fine layer of gray grit that catches the low-angle glow. The season is deep winter, evidenced by the bare, brittle leaves visible through the tall windows and the heavy, still air. Lamplight settles into the far corners, casting long, soft shadows that stretch across the worn floorboards. The shallow depth of field blurs the back wall, focusing attention on the texture of the dust motes dancing in the golden beams. One ray of light strikes the edge of a chalkboard, highlighting the white dust against the dark green surface.
