Under a flat, overcast midday sky, a narrow Jaipur lane reveals a corner workshop where a local artisan has paused his work. A heavy iron cleaver rests on a scarred wooden chopping block, its blade catching the diffuse light, while a small potted succulent sits precariously on a nearby shelf, its fleshy leaves against the dust. Bougainvillea spills over a rough plaster wall in the background, adding a splash of magenta to the muted earth tones.
