Amber Sunset Burning Paper Offerings at Anand Altar

Rich amber sunset light floods the indoor space, illuminating a stone altar at the foot of which paper offerings burn with steady orange flames. Wisps of gray smoke rise slowly through the warm glow, drifting toward the dim corners where oil lamps cast pools of yellow light. The stone surface holds scattered ash and unburnt paper scraps in shades of red and gold. Shadows stretch long across the floor as the sun dips below the horizon outside. A small brass bowl sits beside the burning pile, reflecting the flickering fire. The edges of the paper curl black against the bright ember centers, creating a sharp contrast between destruction and reverence.
