Incense Vendor Table in Geylang Temple Courtyard

Warm candlelight glows across a wooden vendor table laden with bundles of incense sticks and stacks of folded paper offerings. Copper-toned dusk light falls through the temple courtyard, illuminating fine dust particles that hang in the air above the goods. The incense sticks stand upright in clusters, their reddish-brown tips catching the flicker of nearby flames. Folded paper money rests in neat piles beside the incense, their gold and red patterns sharp against the shadowed wood. The scene is intimate and still, with the warm glow reflecting softly off the smooth surfaces of the paper. One shadow from a hanging lantern stretches across the front edge of the table.
