Amber forklift beacons cast warm pools of light across a steel mezzanine floor inside the Blantyre cross-dock. Tote lights mounted on the railing illuminate the metal grating, while replenishment flags hang limp against the vertical posts. Faded yellow pick-path arrows run along the surface, directing movement toward the open lane where exterior twilight bleeds in. A dispatch screen on the wall emits a cool blue glow that reflects off the polished steel beams beside the amber shadows. The monsoon season dampens the air, leaving the plastic totes near the railing with a dull, wet sheen. Dust settles on the grating edges where the interior light meets the fading day outside.
